Small sample sizes, difficult sample types, cross-linkage between proteins and DNA, and the potential for PCR inhibition in DNA extraction are common challenges in many labs. These challenges are time consuming and can delay scientific manuscript submission. Automated sample extraction using Maxwell 16® is fast, easy, and reliable – even with challenging samples. Easily extract gDNA from less than 10,000 cells. DNA isolated from 10, 100, 1000, 10,000, and 100,000 cells using the Maxwell® 16 Cell LEV DNA Purification Kit were quantified using the Plexor HY System. DNA was extracted from as few as 10 cells. Learn more. Purify gDNA from difficult sample types. Sample types such as amniotic fluid, cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) and cell culture supernatants are difficult to consistently obtain quality DNA from downstream PCR applications. The prefilled optimized reagent cartridges of the Maxwell® 16 Cell LEV DNA kit offer maximum sensitivity for inherently difficult samples. Check out the Maxwell® 16 applications portal/database here.

Obtain virtually inhibitor-free gDNA from FFPE samples. DNA was purified from FFPE sections (5 micron) from 3 different human tissues using Maxwell® 16 FFPE LEV DNA Purification Kit. The DNA did not affect amplification of an internal PCR control in real-time PCR experiments and gave clear results in MSI analysis experiments. Learn more.
