CASPASE-1 Monitor Inflammasome Activation with a New Caspase-1 Assay C aspase-1, an essential component of the inflammasome, is activated in response to diverse stimuli, resulting in the processing and release of cytokines, IL-1β and IL-18, and pyroptosis, an immunogenic form of cell death. Western blots and ELISA are the methods currently in use for monitoring caspase-1 activity. To provide a simple and more direct means of detecting cell-based caspase-1 activity, we developed an assay that eliminates the need for significant sample processing. Caspase-Glo® 1 Inflammasome Assay is an addmix-measure, plate-based assay that enables you to more conveniently and directly assay inflammasome activation. Pagina 1
