NEXT TITLE GEN SEQUENCING Ensuring Confidence in Your Next Generation Sequencing The human genome is huge, consisting of an estimated 3 x 109 base pairs of DNA. The National Human Genome Research Institute has published metrics for genome sequencing that show: 1) that since 2001 there has been a precipitous drop in the cost per megabase of DNA sequenced, and; 2) there has been an equally amazing decrease in the cost per genome sequenced. In summary, next generation genome sequencing is here, and it’s faster, less expensive and more powerful than ever before. If you are extracting nucleic acid for input into NGS library preparation, quantitating DNA or RNA, or confirming your NGS results, you know that quality input and reagents at every step are critical to success. We can help in your NGS pursuits with high-quality products and information. See a list of NGS citations that use Promega instruments and reagents. Read a recent blog series on the ins and outs of quantitation, including how not to quantitate. Find products for use in NGS. Pagina 5
